The unemployment rate here is 4.8% and in Mexico is 3.2%. How does that make sense to come here and work, if unemployment there is lower???

WE CAN.|||because everything in mexico is a lot more expensive than it is here...and the unemployment rate might be higher here but there are more jobs here than there is in mexico..most people are farmers because there isnt a lot of job opportunities...its not all about the unemployment rate you kno....you have to look at all of the factors...like the jobs available..and how much they get paid..|||Because if the unemployment there is lower they need to come where they can find a job.|||You go girl! They make sufficient money in Mexico but they see that Americans are better off and want a piece of the pie as well.
