A recession just means don%26#039;t spend money on things you really don%26#039;t need. Cut up those credit cards and live withing your means. If you can%26#039;t pay cash, don%26#039;t buy it.

recession...i lived it during the 70%26#039;s and like most things like that and the depression you just learn to deal with it. its not fun and there are sacrifices to be made but just like with this writers strike, ppl were saying they would stop watching tv, that they%26#039;d go crazy without their fav shows but look what really happened...no one missed them, they sought out other things like spending more time with family and friends, getting out more and there has been a renewed interest in reading. the thing is out of something bad something good always comes|||your living in one now...

things are gonna get bad,|||I also lived through the recession of the 70%26#039;s. It%26#039;s not quite as bad as the Great Depression, but almost. You learn to stop wasting things and stop buying things you don%26#039;t really need. You learn to like cheap meals, repair your own clothes, make your shoes last longer, walk instead of take the car, read a book instead of rent a movie. You learn to appreciate simple things like just looking at the stars with someone you care about, having a picnic in your own backyard, making gifts instead of buying them, or just taking a walk with your friend.

People might even bring back the art of conversation. A lot of stores may go out of business. A lot of gas stations may close. And a lot of people may start using the car pool lane. You will see more bikes and motorcycles on the road and maybe less of those big SUV%26#039;s. The airports may be less crowded and fewer people will go out of town on holidays.

The unemployment rate may soar and there may be more homeless people on the streets and riverbanks. You%26#039;re 15 so you%26#039;re still in school. You might start taking lunch to school instead of buying it. You might not have money for sports or other extracurricular activities and you might have to be creative when it comes to dating. Prices of everything will go sky high and for you to make extra spending money you might be able to do yard work or babysitting because people won%26#039;t be able to pay for professionals.|||To be honest you probably wont be affected by it at all. You%26#039;re only 15 so you wont be buying a car or house in the near future. You probably wont even have student loans while were still in the recession. If you%26#039;re 15 then you lived through a recession in the 90s and one in the early 2000s already. This one is just a bit more of big news because its election time and the sub-prime crisis was pretty bad. On a whole we should be back to normal in a short time with slightly higher prices on normal goods then we would have had otherwise. The best you can do for your parents is somehow cut on the unnecessary stuffs and save money. It would be nice if you can help them by getting part time job. Help in the groceries.

In a depression lots of people lose their jobs. In a recession some people lose their jobs, many people do in fact, but not as much as a depression. Most people already live within their budget and that is why it is such a concern.
