I was in Colchester last year (i have family there) and i LOVED it! its a beautiful town, clean, easy to get around, friendly people, while i was there the weather was great, i got some pics the other say that showed it snowed over, as far as i know its got quite a low crime rate. it depends on what recreation you like? i was there on hols so i did a lot, its close to towns like Cambridge too so you can have a nice day out on the cheap. um there is a gnome farm (!?) that i didnt get to, thats on my list for next time hehehe, its nice and close to stansted airport and only 45 mins away from London on the train.

Gt Yarmouth is a lovely place to go on holiday, nice weather, nice people and plenty to do. I have heard locals (younger ones) moaning about the lack of employment opportunities there though.
